Our Mikros Animation Bangalore studio is going under the Mikroscope! We asked our creative talent 8 questions so you that you can get to know them, their experience in VFX, and their successes. At the end, they in turn pass the baton to one of their colleagues to go under the Mikroscope.
Today we spotlight Vasavi Dugisetty, Production Assistant at Mikros Animation, who talks about her career highlights, inspirations, superpowers, and an insight into her role at Mikros Animation.
What is the best part of your job?
The best of my job is tackling new challenges every day. That makes me think out of the box, and I feel excited to see how I can handle those challenges. And another thing which I love is watching the production process of a movie at it goes through various stages. I really enjoy watching the behind-the-scenes process while the show is still in the production stage.
What was the first project you worked on when you joined Mikros Animation?
I joined Mikros Animation in November 2021 and the first project that I have worked on is Ozi, Voice of the Forest. It’s also my first feature film project.
Share your student and professional background to get to your position at Mikros Animation!
I completed a 2-year long multimedia course at the MAAC Institute and parallelly an MBA as well. After I graduated, I started my first job, which is as a Production Assistant at Mikros Animation.
Who or what inspires you?
I grew up watching animated movies and the way they convey the story, carry a meaningful message, and portray various emotions though imaginative characters inspires me a lot. Characters like, Joy in the movie Inside Out, Po and Oogway in Kung Fu Panda, and many more are beloved because of that.
If you had to be a character in Mikros Animation’s films and series, who would you be?
I would choose to be Ozi from Ozi, Voice of the Forest, an upcoming film from Mikros Animation. As a nature lover I feel very connected to her character. I connect with her fight for the environment and animals’ well-being.
Your biggest achievement so far?
Receiving a Star Performer Award for my work is my biggest achievement so far.
What would be your superpower?
I’d like a superpower to create or manifest anything.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Believe in yourself and just go with the flow.
