What is the best part of your job?
The best part is bringing our artistic vision to life by creating visually stunning and realistic textures for 3D models. Working closely with other talented individuals, such as modelers, animators, and lighting artists, to collectively create immersive and engaging animation is very special.
Constantly learning, overcoming challenges and finding innovative solutions to achieve the desired look and feel of surfaces, textures, and materials is exciting. Seeing your work come to life in movies, video games, virtual reality experiences, and other media, and knowing that it can captivate and inspire audiences is also a highlight.
Ultimately, the best part of my job as a Texturing Artist is the combination of artistic expression, technical skills, and the gratification of contributing to visually captivating storytelling.
What was the first project you worked on when you joined Mikros Animation?
My first project was Orion and the Dark. It was also my first feature project. It was a journey filled with challenges, creativity, and it will delight kids.
Share your student and professional background to get to your position at Mikros Animation!
As a student, I really wanted to be in this industry. After studying animation, I started my career as a 3D Artist, and I also worked as 3D Modeler. But I didn’t stop there. I have upgraded my skills and learned Texturing. I eventually joined Mikros Animation as a Texturing Artist.
Who or what inspires you?
Inspiration can come from various sources, including artists in related fields. The visual effects and artistry in films and video games serves as inspiration for me. I analyse the textures used in movies, animated films, and video games to understand how they contribute to the overall visual storytelling. And of course, the people I work with.
If you had to be a character in Mikros Animation’s films and series, who would you be?
I would choose to be Orion from Orion and the Dark, an upcoming DreamWorks Animation film which I got to work on.

Getting to work where I am and on projects like these is my biggest achievement. And receiving recognition for my texturing skills through awards and nominations.
