Today it’s Julie Albaret, Compositing artist on The Tiger’s Apprentice and nominated by her colleague Pauline, who answers the 8 questions allowing you to discover her journey to Mikros Animation!
What is the best part of your job?
The great encounters I get to have on each project, being able to work with big kids who have the same passion as me!
What was the first project you worked on when you joined Mikros Animation?
It was The Tiger’s Apprentice!
Share your student and professional background to get to your position at Mikros Animation! Â
I studied 3D at ESRA Paris, then after a few jobs here and there I was recruited by TeamTo for several years where I worked mainly on series, first in layout and then in compositing. Afterwards, I went to Parisian studios such as Gaumont Animation where I also worked on several series or even Jungler. Now since September 2022 I joined the wonderful team of tigers in compositing!
What inspires you or who inspires you?
The 80’s in general đ (especially genre films)Â Â
If you had to be a character in Mikros Animation’s films and series, who would you be?
I would be Captain Superslip đ Tralalaaaaaa!
Your biggest achievement so far?
My son watching the cartoons I got to work on đÂ
What would be your superpower?
Being able to talk to animals! Â
What advice would you give to your younger self?âŻ
I would say: have confidence in yourself, you’ll see it’s not so bad.  Â
