Le Film Français asked three questions to Ramsay McBean, the producer of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, which will be distributed by Paramount in France on 9 August. He goes back over the genesis of the project, which was shown at the very start of the Annecy Festival in an unfinished version:
Where was the film made?
“We had 60 animators at Mikros Animation Montreal, 20 at Mikros Animation Paris and around forty at Cinesite in Vancouver, so it was a big animation team in the end! Many of them gave up what they were working on to join us because the opportunity to work on a film like this was unique. I’d worked at Mikros Animation before, including in Paris. There was a level of trust and know-how that I already knew. A passionate French team is unstoppable! All the artists outdid themselves. I’m so proud of them.”
