The Annecy Festival press conference was held today, and GCI Film is extremely pleased to announce the official selection of Ozi, Voice of the Forest!
Over the course of its 60 years, the Annecy Festival has established itself as a global event dedicated to animation, bringing together the most esteemed professionals from the sector to celebrate animation’s creative and diverse styles and techniques.
Supported by Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way Productions and multi-Academy-Award-winning producer Mike Medavoy, Ozi, Voice of the Forest directed by Tim Harper aims to raise awareness around the issues our planet’s rainforests face due to growing levels of deforestation, and how this affects the ecosystems within.
With creative development from concept-to-delivery from the Mikros Animation Paris and Bangalore teams, the fully CGI film features the animation work of over 300 animation experts, driven by both their passion for storytelling, and communicating the underlying social cause.
We can’t wait for you to discover Ozi, Voice of the Forest on the big screen and in the wonderful conditions of the Annecy Festival.
