Montreal ACM SIGGRAPH and Autodesk are very excited to open 2023 by presenting the fourth edition of CG Spotlight! This event also marks Montreal ACM SIGGRAPH’s return to activity. The Chapter and co-organiser, Autodesk, are looking forward to reconnect with Montreal’s CG community!
CG Spotlight’s goals are to bring the members of the Computer Graphics community together, to promote the exchange of knowledge between the Montreal industry and the academic scene and offer them opportunities for connecting and networking.
During this fourth edition, ACM SIGGRAPH will present the following talks (all talks will be given in English) :
- Rodeo FX – Peter Nofz, VFX Supervisor: “Adventures with USD in Animation”
- McGill University – Derek Nowrouzezahrai, Associate Professor: “Bridging Graphics and Machine Learning: differentiable simulators as inductive biases”
- Mikros Animation – Gaspard Roche, CG Supervisor: “Rigging diverse characters at Mikros Animation”
- DNEG – Philipp Wolf, DNEG VFX Executive Producer: “Behind the scenes on Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery”
