If you had to pick an alternate career, what would you do?
If I were to choose an alternate career, I would be interested in pursuing a role as a movie editor, specifically in trailer editing. I have always been fascinated by the way trailers can captivate an audience and create excitement for an upcoming film.
What’s the best and worst part of being in animation?
Undoubtedly, the best part of being in animation is the limitless potential for creativity. As an animator, I have the power to bring my imagination to life and create whatever I conceive. It’s an exhilarating feeling to watch my creations come to life on the screen.
On the other hand, the worst part of being in animation is working with a deadline, which can make it challenging to find the right balance between creativity and productivity. However, I believe this can also be a positive motivator, pushing me to work harder and more efficiently to achieve my goals.
Which animated character do you identify with the most?
Of all the animated characters out there, I find myself identifying the most with Tiana from “The Princess and the Frog”. Her hardworking and independent nature, strong-willed personality, and her willingness to help others resonate deeply with me. And also, our shared interest in cooking.
What’s the one piece of advice you’d give to children who want to do what you do?
My advice to them would be to never stop exploring their imagination, and to remain curious about the world around them. And to never lose sight of their dreams. Along the way, it’s important to seek out mentors and resources that can help guide their journey. To this end, I would also like to quote a favorite saying of mine by Walt Disney, “If you can dream it, you can do it.” This serves as a powerful reminder that with persistence, hard work, and a positive attitude, anything is possible.
Did you have a mentor? How did they help shape your outlook on the industry and your career?
Yes, I had a mentor named Anand Kunwar who was my first supervisor. Anand played a critical role in shaping my outlook on the industry and my career. During my early years in the industry, he provided me with valuable guidance and taught me the fundamental principles and workflows of our industry. He was instrumental in pushing me to continually improve and strive for excellence in my work. His mentorship helped me to develop a deeper understanding of the industry and instilled in me a sense of passion and purpose for my work.
What piece of work are you most proud of?
I am most proud of the work I contributed to the television series “Star Wars Resistance”, in Season II. This project holds a special place in my heart because it was my first major contribution to a television series, and I was thrilled to have my name included in the credit list.
