The FNAC magazine gives three good reasons to go and (re)see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem at the cinema… and Mikros Animation’s work on the film is one of them!
Reason no. 2: A well-executed animation
The French studio Mikros Animation, notably behind Alexandre Astier’s Asterix, is responsible for the design and animation. The 120 artists who collaborated on the project perfectly captured the vision of Jeff Rowe, influenced by Spike Jonze, Alfonso Cuaron and Paul Thomas Anderson.
The chaotic style is even reflected in the design of the characters, who stand out for their lack of symmetry, which is so dominant in today’s productions.
